"From Humble Beginnings to Unstoppable Growth"

IMIKA began as a small computer shop in Ipoh in 2010, founded by Abdul Rahim Tahir, a young and ambitious 22-year-old entrepreneur. Armed with a vision to make technology accessible to all, Abdul Rahim embarked on a journey filled with challenges, triumphs, and hard-earned lessons.  

The first decade was a rollercoaster ride. IMIKA grew steadily but faced its toughest times between 2018 and 2019, when circumstances forced the closure of 7 out of its 9 branches. Only two branches remained—Ipoh and Manjung, both in Perak. Then came 2020, bringing with it the COVID-19 pandemic, lockdowns, and uncertainty. It was a time of struggle, but also resilience.  

Against all odds, IMIKA rose from the ashes, stronger than ever. By 2021, the company opened its third outlet in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. What followed was nothing short of extraordinary—a meteoric rise fueled by determination, hard work, and the unwavering support of Malaysians.  

In 2022, IMIKA expanded to 28 branches. By September 2023, the company had surpassed the milestone of 100 branches. And as of 2024, IMIKA proudly operates 120 branches across Malaysia, serving over 500,000 customers nationwide.  

Today, IMIKA is known as a trusted name for affordable laptops, iPads, and smartphones. But the journey is far from over. With dreams as big as Malaysia itself, IMIKA aims to open its 200th branch in the near future, continuing its mission to bring technology closer to the people.  

This incredible journey wouldn’t have been possible without the support of Malaysians, and for that, IMIKA is deeply grateful. Here’s to a future of continued growth and success—together!
